THE BRIDGE COMMUNITY CENTER
There’s a new after-school program available to Chandler students. The Bridge Community Center offers several activities aimed at keeping teens busy with healthy physical activities, sports, video games, and even tutoring. From their website:
“The Bridge is a place for teens to hang out after school, during school breaks, and on the weekends. They have an all access pass to our skate park, gymnasium, rock climbing wall, game room, and café in exchange for signing in and following a few simple rules! The possibilities are endless—we also offer many programs including camps, special events, organized sports, concerts and tutoring.”
There are locker rooms, food and drinks for a minimal price, and various leagues and clinics. Almost everything is free (including tutoring). The only charges that will incur will be sports leagues and clinics, some events and concerts, and taekwondo.
Photo ID is required, helmets must be worn at the skate park, and parents must sign a release form, so make sure you plan accordingly. The Bridge places a huge emphasis on keeping teens safe while simultaneously providing a fun environment. The release form can be conveniently filled out online! If you are interested in free tutoring, sign up using the tutoring sign up link.
The Bridge’s hours are: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:00 - 8:00 PM, CLOSED Wednesday, Friday from 2:00 - 9:00 PM, Saturday all ages from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, and junior and senior high school students only from 2:00 - 9:00 PM.
