It has been wonderful to welcome all of the children back to school and to see so many new faces.
We of course have Mr Pritchard who has joined our family as Diamonds' class teacher and he has really enjoyed getting to know his class further.
We had some building work over the summer holidays in our KS2 classes. These are now looking bright and have created two lovely classrooms rather than a large and small room as we had before.
Don't forget to follow us on Twitter and our school Facebook group for further updates.
Diamonds have enjoyed moving into their brand new classroom and getting to know each other. They have played class mate bingo to find out lots of interesting facts about each other. They have also worked together on a collaborative art project- the final product was a stunning butterfly! Mr Pritchard has been blown away by how hard all of the Diamonds have worked and how lovely and welcoming they all have been!
Starting from Monday we will be rewarding the children for reading at home. This may be their school book, a book from home or for younger children listening to a bedtime story. Evidence of them reading with a video or photo will earn them a point. We prefer a video where possible as it helps us when assessing the children's reading though if this is not possible a comment will still earn them a point. Evidence is to be loaded to Tapestry for Pearls children and Seesaw for Y1-Y6. If you have any difficulties with this then please see the class teacher who will be happily to help.
In the final week of this half-term the children will be rewarded their treat based on the level they achieve.
Bronze - Non-uniform for the day (18 points - equivalent to 3 reads a week)
Silver - Non-uniform for the day and a movie (24 reads - equivalent to 4 reads a week)
Gold - Non-uniform, a movie and snacks to enjoy (36 reads - equivalent to 6 reads a week)
