Four Eagles Earn Commended Recognition
Four Argyle High School seniors have received special recognition for their outstanding academic performances.
Eagles Archisha Biswas, Isabelle Gilbert, Peyton Deffenbaugh and Billy Mykel have been named Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Program. They are being honored for their exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their performance on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
These Eagles placed among the top 50,000 scorers of the 1.5 million students who entered the 2020 competition by taking the 2019 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Over. 1.5 million students took the test last October and entered the National Merit Scholarship Program.

AHS Choir Sets Record With All-Region Selections
These Eagles have been preparing since July and for the third year in a row have set a record for the number of students earning All-Region. They will advance to the second round of the All-State process.

School Board Honors Principals & HR Staff
During Monday night's Argyle ISD Regular Board meeting, Trustees honored the district's five principals during National Principals Month. During the month, the district is taking time to recognize the dedication, leadership and commitment of these outstanding administrators.

Trustees also recognized Texas Education Human Resources Day and the HR staff of Deputy Superintendent Chris Daniel and administrative assistant Jennifer James. We appreciate their outstanding work in recruiting and hiring the best teachers and staff to serve our Eagles! The principals and HR staff were all presented with baseball caps and shirts from HPSUPPLY and cookies from Tiff's Treats in Highland Village.

Argyle Tennis Playoff Bound!
Argyle will face Stephenville at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26 in the Class 4A bi-district round at Tarleton State University. Click here to follow the tennis team on Twitter.
Cross Country Teams Compete at District Meet Monday
The Eagles took first place with a total score of 31. Argyle held two of the top three positions with Mason White in second and Tyler Westrom in third. Gage Green was fifth and Joseph Davenport was seventh giving Argyle four top-10 finishers.
The Lady Eagles took third led by top-10 finishers with Alexandra Johnson in second, Amaris McCasland took fifth and Avery Doyle was eight. Top-20 finishes included Avery Junk in 16th and Priscilla Husby in17th.
