COMPASSION FATIGUE
Do you feel emotionally drained at the end of the day? If so, you may be suffering from Compassion Fatigue.
Compassion Fatigue is an occupational concern for both individuals and organizations. Described as the “cost of caring" for others, it occurs when employees display stress, physical burnout or emotional exhaustion from helping or wanting to help their patients, clients, customers or victims in need. Compassion Fatigue becomes problematic when organizations experience negative symptoms, such as high employee absenteeism; excessive workers’ compensation claims; negativity toward management and inability of staff to complete assignments or meet deadlines.
This session focuses on preventing job-related fatigue and burnout amongst individuals as well as improving the overall health of the organization. Our panel of experts will provide creative solutions to help employees eliminate stress, increase resilience levels and achieve work-life balance.
You should attend this panel discussion if you want to:
- Develop an awareness of Compassion Fatigue
Identify warning signs and contributing factors to prevent Compassion Fatigue
Manage burnout and traumatic stress using preventative care and holistic wellness techniques
Evaluate your current degree of work-life balance or unbalance
