Upcoming Forward Exam
During the months of March and April, Wisconsin students across the state in grades 3-8 will be participating in the Forward Exam.
The Forward Exam assesses students in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics in grades 3-8. Additionally, students in grade 4 and 8 will test in the areas of Science and Social Studies. This online exam measures the knowledge and skills progress of your child in relation to the Wisconsin Academic standards. Your child’s results on this assessment, in combination with other forms of assessment, help to build a comprehensive understanding of their proficiency towards being college and career ready.
One or more subtests may be administered daily during the following dates:
Third Grade
April 6-8
Fourth Grade
April 14-21
Fifith Grade
April 21-23
Sixth Grade
April 7-15
Seventh Grade
March 31-April 2
Eighth Grade
April 14-23
To help our learners prepare, we ask that you support your student by being well-rested, well-nourished and fully engaged in the test. Additionally, please help to ensure your student’s attendance on testing days, as students not in school will be scheduled for make-up testing during classroom time before the end of April.
The following Informational Brochure for Families provides additional resources about the assessment. Results from the Forward exam will be distributed to Stone Bank families in August, 2020.
If you have any questions about the Forward Exam, please contact Mrs. Darin, Mrs. Zdrojewski or your child’s teacher.
2020 Project Linus
Thank you to all who participated in the Project Linus initiative this year. Many students brought in fleece. Still others helped prep and trim each blanket for the event. And this week, over 30 blankets were made by over 50 Kindergarten-8th grade student participants after school on Wednesday.
What a GREAT team effort!
The blankets will be transported to Children’s Hospital and used in the NIC Unit.

Stone Bank Track Club
Attention 4th-8th grade families,
The Stone Bank Track Club is available for any students in grades 4-8 to participate. If your child is looking for an activity to get involved in this spring, please consider having him/her join the Track Club.
In Track Club, students get to be part of a team while working on improving individual performance in a variety of running and field events. Participants can choose which events they would like to do. It’s a fun opportunity to get in great shape and gain experience for future participation in Track & Field and/or other sports.
Track Club begins the first week in April and runs through the last week in May. There will be one practice per week at Stone Bank from 2:30-4:00 (tentatively Thursdays, starting April 2nd). There will be approximately 5-6 track meets, held at Arrowhead High School. See the attached flyer for tentative track meet dates!
A $20 fee, which covers the cost of event entry fees for meets and a team t-shirt, should be turned in before the first practice. After signing up here, you will receive an email within the next couple weeks with more information, as well as the necessary forms that will need to be completed and turned in by the first practice in April.

The Student Council and Feeding America of Southwestern Wisconsin would like to send a HUGE thank you to the students, staff and community members who participated in our 2020 PB & J Challenge.
We collected almost 350 items. All of that PB & J weighed 591 pounds. Last year we donated only 303 pounds. Our donations will help to feed MANY hungry children! Ms. Roberts' class brought in 119 jars! Her class will receive a special treat from Student Council during 4th quarter. Way to go Stone Bank!
