Last Day of School
Any subsequent snow day will move forward the exam schedule and our last day of school.
As presented to you in my August 2015 newsletter, no family should make vacation plans before June 23.
Recent snow day impacts Learning Commons
We are grateful to our diligent Central Administration and Maintenance Staff who were hands-on to troubleshoot the problems under the direction of Superintendent Bob Monteiro, Assistant Superintendent John Robidoux, Director of Finance and Technology Randi Arruda and the team of Tom Santos, Eric Hajder, Lance Machado, Steve Almeida, Gilbert Pereira, Tony Abreu and John Cavaco.
We have closed the space for the rest of the week to dry out under the professional supervision of ServePro.
We have rescheduled students to other spaces in the building while moving ahead our timeline for the Program of Studies to accommodate teacher information sessions to students and a parent/family information night.
UPDATE: Program of Studies 2016-2017
The snow days and water damage to the Learning Commons have impacted the release of our 2016-2017 Program of Studies.
Parents and families who want more information on how to use this document to help clarify the course selection process at Joseph Case High School are invited to attend a Program of Studies Information Night in our Learning Commons on Wednesday, March 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Among the highlights will be some new courses for grade 9 students, our post-secondary business pathway for students thinking of pursuing business in college, and some exciting new changes to our offerings, including two new Advanced Placement courses.
Please consider joining me for an informative evening. This is part of our Parent Professional Development initiative this year.
