Squalicum High School

Storm Forecast for Nov 26 - Dec 3

A message from Principal Perez:

Hello STORM Nation, STORM Family and STORM Community,

As we head into the Thanksgiving weekend, we want to wish you all a safe and calm weekend. As we continue to navigate the stages of this pandemic, we know that there are things occurring and impacting our country and local communities. We hope our SQHS community can enjoy the weekend. If you are traveling, safe travels, and if you are staying local, please enjoy the time however your family spends it. Please continue to make safe decisions for you and your family.

Grades were out this last week. As we continue to learn how to do school again, we have a lot of students who are adjusting well and doing great. We are also aware that some students are having a challenging time adjusting to school on campus again both academically and behaviorally. Our staff cares for every single student, and we want to partner with parents and guardians to support students and their needs. We have many of resources for students. Please reach out and communicate with teachers, administrators and counselors and continue to check our newsletters and school and district webpages.

Our students and staff are amazing. Please stay tuned to the efforts and opportunities we will soon communicate and implement to support the Nooksack Valley School District and Sumas community. As part of Whatcom County, all high schools are looking for ways to support our county community after the flooding and devastation in Nooksack and Sumas. Please help us by contributing to our efforts for gathering support for that community.

Our concert series is beginning. Please don’t miss our next events. See Save the Dates below to mark your calendars!
