Wiggin Street Parent Update

April 14, 2023

Dear Wiggin Street Families,

As you can see in the pictures, our students have enjoyed the beautiful weather this week and the 3rd-5th grade have had some extra time in celebration of completing their ELA Ohio State Tests. We are so proud of their efforts and they persevered having a growth mindset.

Next week, we will have the Math Ohio State Tests for 3rd-5th, but we will be able to celebrate on Friday at the Spring Fun Festival! Envelopes are going home today for pre-sale of $5.00 punch cards for games/activities that can be picked up at the Will-call table. Weather permitting, they will be available on the front lawn.

We are so grateful for all of you and love our Wiggin Street Kids!

Best wishes,

Christy Grandstaff

Pre-Sale Tickets

In hopes to reduce ticket sale lines, Friends of Wiggin Street will be holding a pre-sale on tickets starting tomorrow for the Spring Fun Festival games and activities. The cost is $5.00 for a 10 count punch card. Your Wiggin Street student can bring the cash amount to their homeroom teacher and a punch card with their name on it will be waiting at the Will-call table at the festival. Weather permitting, the table will be outside on the front lawn.

Volunteers Needed for Fun Festival

We are still in need of volunteers. You can find available slots for games here and other items here.

Desserts needed

The 4 Corners Game was a big hit last year! Students can win cakes, brownies, cupcakes, and other desserts. These items are greatly needed and can be donated the morning of the 21st, and brought to the office, or students can deliver them to Mrs. Clippinger's room.

We are also in need of the following donations: cookies, brownies, Rice Crispy Treats, etc. for desserts in the cafeteria.

Thank you!!!

Friends of Wiggin Street

Interested in being on the Battle of the Books Team in 5th Grade?

This video shows our Battle of the Books Clap-out, but it also gives information about the team and what you can do to start preparing. Mrs. Stetler and Mrs. Eilbacher met weekly with the team to help prepare, and the student represented our school so well. We are very proud of them!
