Day of the Concert
As stated on the Parkhill Choir calendar, our Pearce Area Fall Choir Concert will be on Wednesday, November 6th. The concert will begin at 7:00 PM in the J. J. Pearce High School Auditorium. This concert is required for ALL choir members and will count as a TEST GRADE. Parents/Guardians, family members, and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend. The concert is free and open to the public.
In order to warm-up and prepare before the concert, the students will need to meet in the Parkhill Choir room on November 6th at 3:40 PM with all of their belongings and entire uniform. We will all leave Parkhill together on a bus at 4 PM to JJ Pearce for rehearsal. Students will rehearse, receive a free pizza dinner, and then change into our uniforms for the concert at JJ Pearce. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions/concerns.
Concert Expectations
It is extremely important that every choir member is present for this concert. Choir is considered to be a co curricular subject where what is learned in class is performed/tested outside of class. All Parkhill Choir Concerts are required and count as a test grade. All Parkhill Choir members are expected to stay through the entire concert. This will not be a lengthy concert and should be over by 8:15 P.M. Staying for the entire concert and demonstrating appropriate audience behavior will determine a major part of the students grade.
Any students who do not have parents/guardians/adult family members staying for the concert should be picked up no later than 8:15 PM.
If you are absent from the concert for any reason other than illness or a serious family emergency, you will receive a test grade of “0” until made up to Ms. Cotten for no more than a “70” (first offense only). Any student who misses the concert will need to sing their music to Ms. Cotten to make up their test grade. Please do not let down your section and choir by missing this performance!
Please invite your family and friends to the first Parkhill Choir Concert of the year. I am looking forward to a great performance, and I know you are too!
