Why should it matter?
How you should be sitting
Does your back start hurting when siting down on the computer, or your eye vision start to get blurry. well then your not sitting properly on your chair. Here are some tips to help you prevent that from happing.
Posture
Posture is the most important aspect when looking at workstation design. If your posture is bad it causes pain to you neck and back and over time it gets more painful. Your back should be supported by the backrest of the chair that furthers the natural curve of the lower back.
Eye's
when looking at a monitor your distance should be 60 cm to 90 cm. keeping the distance helps prevent increasing of eye vision and stops swelling of the eye.also your eye's should slightly be looking down ward without bending neck to prevent neck and back pain.
Mouse and Keyboard
The mouse should be the same height as the keyboard and easy to reach to prevent a muscle injury. Also do more typing then mouse because it prevents causing any risks and may increase typing speed.
Seat
The seat pan should be wide enough so it does not apply pressure to tights, this prevents Laziness and can cause to be less productive. Seat needs to be tilt to prevent pain to back and neck.
Armrest
The armrest should be adjusted to elbow height, if to high the shoulder will be shrugged which can cause discomfort. If to low the shoulder may be depressed, which can affect the posture of the back and neck.
Stretches
When on the computer take a break and do some computer and desk stretches this will help prevent pain to the neck and back.
