Homework: January 19th - 23rd

Your child's homework is posted in your child's ROCKET folder. Homework will be given to the students on Friday and then it is due by the following Friday.


Homework for this upcoming week is as follows:


Reading – at least 20 minutes nightly - initial in the box each day your child reads for at least 20 minutes. Also, remember to have them fillout their reading log


MathJanuary Monthly Math Booklet - Days 11-15


Spelling - Complete 3 spelling homework assignments and practice spelling the words each night. The test will be on Friday.


*Fluency passages - all classes are beginning the fluency passages for every student.

Fluency Passages

This week the students brought home a reading passage. You are to time your child reading the passage for 1 minute three different times. In between each reading, your child needs to practice reading the passage. The goal is to read the passage more fluently with each reading. They should be reading between 90 to 120 minutes with accuracy, expression, and fluency.
