Alumni Founder Series - Nicole Lewis
The Alumni Founder Series, in which the Entrepreneurship Center invites Alumni to come back and speak on their story from a W&M student to a founder.
The upcoming founder, Nicole Lewis, has started an incredible non-profit called Generation Hope. The event will be next Thursday, March 28 at 5:30 - 7:00pm and will be held in the Entrepreneurship Center.
There will also be free dinner provided for all the attendees! It is a pretty informal speaker series and there is also time for audience Q&A at the end. Most of these founders are excited to engage with students, so they often encourage further networking and communication after the event.
Here is Nicole's bio:
Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Generation Hope
Nicole graduated from William & Mary as a teen mother who overcame homelessness and a drug-infested environment to achieve the impossible. After several years in the workforce honing her skills in communications and nonprofit management and learning about the needs of teen parents across the country, Nicole founded Generation Hope in Washington, D.C. in 2010. Named a CNN Hero in 2014, Nicole has used her skills in social entrepreneurship to launch an organization that is making a real difference. Read more of Nicole's story here.
