Miss Scherer's Weekly Update
Team 5B Humanities
Our Week (September 30th to October 4th)
In Social Studies, students learned about the 7 Reasons for Exploration and the obstacles that explorers faced. They have flashcards and a study guide (given to them on Tuesday) and will be quizzed this Tuesday. Then we will begin our Explorers Simulation. We are super excited to get started with the Simulation!
In ELA, learners participated in several different activities to determine the Main Idea of various texts. They used Flip Grid, Maze Activities and Sorts. They also started using RAZ Kids during Guided Reading. Several of our Guided Reading groups have begun reading different chapter books. Two groups will be responding to discussion questions on a Google Classroom!
Everyone looked so snazzy for Picture Day!
