Walk Through Focus This Week
The TTESS Rubric is as follows:
Happy New Year!
The new year often brings new resolutions. We have begun many good things this year, so let us each resolve to either pick up where we left off, or continue, to implement these good programs and initiatives.
Capturing Kids' Hearts: Review your manual and resolve to fully implement this program. Now is a great time to review your classroom social contracts and hold students accountable for following what they agreed upon for their class. Be consistent and persistent in this.
Data Driven Instruction: The data you collect will direct your next steps. Use it to your advantage and review it often. Use your data rooms as a place of discussion about what the data reveals and how you, as a department, will take the next steps to increasing student growth. Use it as a place to discuss cross-curricular activities. Students desperately need this, and it can be quite fun for the teachers, too. If you find that there are things you need that will be helpful to you in these rooms, please let one of the administrators know.
