Principal's Message

I would like to congratulate Coach Mason and the Gateway Football Team on an impressive victory on Friday night. This is the first post-season win in Gator Football history. Gateway will travel to Penns Grove next Saturday for the South Jersey Semi-Finals at 1 p.m.

We will be having a middle and high school parent meeting on November 29th to discuss school discipline. We value your input on this important topic. The meeting will start at 6:30.

Also, we have a Barnes and Noble Book Fair occurring on Wednesday night, and our Fall Play "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" opens this week. The newsletter has more information on these exciting events.

Gateway Football Wins!

Coach Mason led the Gators Football team to its first ever post-season victory! The Gators will travel to Penns Grove for the South Jersey Group I Semifinals at 1 pm next Saturday.

The Cast of Charlie Brown performed at Carolina Blue

Come see the Fall Play this week with a Thursday matinee at 3:30, a Friday show at 7 pm and a Saturday show at 6 p.m. Interested in dinner and a show? Stop by Charlie Browns in Woodbury between 4 and 5:30 and tell them you are there to support the show.

SAT Prep

Free SAT preparation class is offered at the Wenonah Library on Wednesday,

November 29th from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Contact the library to sign up or if you have any questions. Seats are limited.

Order Your Thanksgiving Pies

Pre-order your Thanksgiving Pies from any French Club member. Pies are made fresh from Summit Bakery and will be delivered to you the day before Thanksgiving (11/22). Email or see Miss Clanet in 109 with any questions. All orders due by the end of the day Monday 11/13. Cash or check payable to Gateway Regional High School.

Operation Christmas Child Drive

The LIGHT Club is going to be collecting items for our annual Operation Christmas Child drive. Operation Christmas Child is an organization that sends shoe boxes filled with Christmas gifts to disadvantaged children all over the world. The items can include balls, small stuffed animals, art supplies, dollar store toys, hygiene items, etc. We will be collecting items through Tuesday, November 7th. If you would like to donate items, there will be bags set up in the main office, the library, room 205, room 502, and room 416. If you would just like to donate cash, that's terrific too. We will shop for items to fill the boxes. See Mrs. Wenner with donations and any questions. Thanks for your help!

Middle School Girls Basketball Try-Outs

Middle School girls basketball try-outs will be held November 20th, 21st and 27th. You must be registered online and physically cleared in order to try out. See Mrs. Kenefick with any questions.

Attention All Swim Team Members

Please see Miss Clanet in 109 this week for important additional paperwork. Reminder that practice begins Monday, November 13th. All physicals and online registration must be complete in order to participate.

Gateway's Barnes and Noble Book Fair!

Start your holiday shopping early! Gateway will be hosting a community night at the Barnes and Noble store in Deptford on Wednesday, November 15th from 6 - 8 pm. There will be fun events such as a Book Club sponsored scavenger hunt for prizes, Student Chamber Group Band performance, story time, displays of student work and faculty/student book picks. Gateway will receive a portion of sales that evening in Barnes and Noble and the adjoining Starbucks. Please come out and support Gateway!
