Crown Point Community School Corporation is accepting nominations for the Teacher of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and Employee of the Year who will serve during the 2023-2024 school year. Nominations are open through March 1st. Students, former students, parents, colleagues, administrators, or members of the general public may nominate a CPCSC teacher, administrator, and/or classified employee.

E-Learning Day - 3.7.23
The e-learning day will be asynchronous. Teachers will post the agenda in Buzz for students by 7:30am. Activities will be assigned to review or practice previously taught content, continue work and development of on-going projects or assignments, or introduce new content with supporting activities that are achievable by the student independently.

Lockdown Drill - Thursday, February 23rd
- We would like to thank our students, staff, and CP Police Department for a successful Lockdown Drill this afternoon. Throughout the year, we conduct important safety drills to ensure that our school is one of the safest places for our students. This means preparing staff and students for situations such as evacuations or intruders. Even though it is difficult to think about these situations, there is nothing more important than the safety of our students.

Employability Survey
We want to thank our parents/guardians for being valued partners as we work together to educate our students.
While many people often think of student success in relation to grades or test scores, it is also important to consider the social and emotional growth of our students. Starting March 6th - 17th , we will ask students in grades 3-12 for their feedback via a 20-30 minute online survey completed at school. The survey will ask students to reflect on their self-efficacy, emotional regulation, social awareness, and supportive relationships. The results from the survey support our ability to address individual and school-identified needs.
We have previously administered this survey as part of our Ready To Learn student services work. The data was used to implement positive behavior interventions and improve school culture and climate. We look forward to using new data from this school year to identify and align services for students.
If you have any questions about the survey or do not want your child to participate, please contact your school’s main office before March 3rd. Students who opt out of the survey will still be able to participate in programs or services created as a result of the data.
Sincerely,
CPCSC Office of Curriculum and Instruction
