A message from our principal
Alleluia! Christ has risen! Happy Easter!
We have so much to be thankful for. We thank God almighty, in the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, you have created a new heaven and a new earth.
In our Morning Prayer service:
We rejoice and are glad. We know that like Jesus, we will rise to new life.
Help us to be faithful followers of Jesus and to live as he showed us.
We ask this in Jesus’ name. AMEN!!!
We have 26 school days remaining in this school year. I shared with the students this morning that we all need to be “strong finishers.” Please encourage your children to continue to work hard, pray hard, and lead others closer to Jesus.
May God continue to bless you and yours in this Easter season.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve

Robotics Club for 2017-18
We are excited for the inaugural year of the HFCS Robotics Club! Coaches Anthony Matasso and Tug Rix will be rounding up all interested students currently in 3rd-7th Grades to join next year as we research, design, and build robots and robotic projects through the First Lego League Tech Challenge and Robotics Competition. We also need a name for the club, and your Hornets can help choose something fitting! Learn more about this world wide program by clicking here. There will be a parent meeting on April 27 at 6:30 p.m. in Pemberton Library.
Nolan Catholic High School offers a Middle School Robotics Camp for rising 5th-8th grades, and we encourage those eligible to attend this summer. Held June 5-9, 9 a.m. to noon, this one week summer camp will introduce students to the basics of engineering and technology with a focus on the design process and hands-on project based learning. The cost is $150. Contact Dr. Scheer at rscheer@nchstx.org for more information, or click here to register.

CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES RICE BOWL
CRS Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten program for families and faith communities in the United States who want to put their faith in action. In its first 40 years, more than $250 million has been given through CRS Rice Bowl to support programs that prevent hunger and poverty around the world. Cardboard CRS Rice Bowls and Lenten calendars have been sent home with all students today. Use your cardboard CRS Rice Bowl and Lenten calendar to guide your Lenten prayer, fasting and almsgiving this Lenten season. Be sure to visit www.crsricebowl.org to watch videos of the people and communities whose lives your Lenten gifts are changing. CRS Rice Bowls should be returned to the school office by April 24, 2017.
