We are talking about using the strategy of "making ten" in order to add. We are also reviewing the strategy of adding on, and drawing our numbers in order to add.
Writing
In writing we are adding to our "tool box." Each lesson is packed with new strategies for students to try out. It is so exciting to see your child's writing improve and come alive. continue to study the 6+1 traits. This week we will be learning about the importance of transition words in writing as well as learning to stretch our sentences to pack them full of detail.
