2nd Annual Women's Leadership Conference - 10/19

The Junior League of Peoria is proud to present its 2nd Annual Women’s Leadership Conference!

October 19, 2019
8:30am – 3:00pm

Our theme this year is "The Leader Within". The conference will encompass the overarching theme that you can be a leader in your personal or professional life, at entry or executive level – everyone has the potential to become a leader. Spark the change and ignite the leader within!

We have an exciting line-up of superstar speakers and fun activities all aligned with the Association of Junior League International Competencies. This conference will bring together women of all personal and professional paths to create a community of support and encouragement that is dedicated to the advancement of all women.

Junior League sustaining and active members, along with their guests, are invited. We have special pricing for guests. There is no limit to the number of guests a Junior League member can invite!

Sustainer Price - Individual $25 each
Active Member Price - Individual $30 each
Guest Price – Individual $20 each

Pricing includes breakfast, lunch, drinks, and snacks as well as a bonus session to include mindful meditation and chair yoga with Soulside Healing Arts!

If you are unable to attend and would still like to make an impact, you can gift the registration cost to the Member Training & Development Committee to be used during the upcoming league year for GMM activities. As you are aware, Junior League of Peoria is working with community partners to increase food security in Peoria’s food desert zip codes. To help with this initiative, we will be collecting non-perishable food items during the conference.

Our conference line-up this year will be fast-paced, exciting, and entertaining! We hope to see you there!

Community Leadership School Applications

Have you considered applying for the Peoria Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership School? The program focuses on strengthening the Peoria area by developing future leaders and educating students on issues and challenges in our community. The group meets on Fridays from 7-9AM January – April and includes a group project with a nonprofit.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more, please reach out to Carly Scott with any questions.

Strategic Plan Survey

The Governance Board is working to define the League's metrics for each aspect of our strategic plan. This will help us measure the outcomes of our actions and efforts. Each month we plan to focus on a different area within the strategic plan and September kicked off with accomplishments.

At the September GMM, we completed a survey to help benchmark the beginning of the year metrics on JLP's historic and current accomplishments. At the end of the League year, we will retake this survey to determine the progress we've made in educating and sharing information to our members and sustainers.

If you completed the survey at the GMM, please DO NOT retake the survey so we have accurate results recorded.

Take the survey here.

Thank you for your commitment!
