The Frozen dress-up schedule:
Tuesday-"Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People" Make Sven proud as you style in your reindeer gear!
Wednesday-"Love is an Open Door" Show how much you love Christmas! Wear as much red and green as possible!
Thursday- "Don't let anyone ever dull your SPARKLE! Bring your best bling- and wear it all! Bling out a hat, gloves, shoes…and sparkle down.
Friday-"Let it Go" You can wear your Pajamas! Please be sure your clothing follows our dress code.

Reading:
For example, if a student reads a nonfiction book about penguins they may be asked some of the following questions.
Who is this text about? (Penguins)
What is one thing you learned that you didn't know about before you read this book? (I learned that Penguins are in the bird family.)
When do Penguins swim in the sea? (Penguins swim in the sea to look for food and to escape from predators)
Where do Penguins live? (Penguins usually live in cold places. For example, emperor penguins live in Antarctica.)
Why do penguins live together in colonies? (For protection)
How do penguins have babies? )Penguins are birds, they lay eggs. They usually lay 2 eggs. The mom and dad take turns keeping the egg warm)

Next week we will start a unit on graphing.
Writing:
Please make sure your child is starting their sentences with capital letter and using the correction punctuation each week with their spelling homework.
Social Studies
We are now looking at our local and state government. We will focus on Federal when we return from Christmas Break.
