KES Update

November 4, 2020

November is here! It's a time to reflect on what we are thankful for...there is so much! Each day, I am greeted by eager students who are respectful and kind. KES is a happy place, where positivity radiates. I feel fortunate that we are still able to be learning in person and on the screen together each day. Our entire team of teachers, students, parents, and other staff members are remaining vigilant with our safety procedures so that everyone stays healthy and safe! We had a great Halloween! Thank you to our supportive PTA for gathering party supplies; to our room parents for planning the fun; and to our teachers for facilitating! I am thrilled to see the sun shining bright this week, which allows our students to get outside for recess, brain breaks, mask breaks, and more! Conferences are just around the corner, so use that opportunity to connect and collaborate with your child's teacher. As we all know, the home to school connection is so powerful, so thank you for your support! Our staff is being encouraged to jot down a thankful thought for each day in November, as we pause for a minute and focus on the good around us! I encourage you to do the same!

Haloween Fun!

Our Halloween celebration was a success! Our entire KES family enjoyed a day of costumes, party games, crafts and more. Thank you to all who contributed!

Artsonia Announcement from Mrs. Caruso

Your students have been hard at work in the art room creating many different projects thus far. It has been a joy watching our K.E.S. students develop and grow as artists. Keep looking for new artwork posted each week! Please make a comment and share it with your artist.

I can't believe that Christmas is right around the corner! Don’t forget that you can order gifts featuring your child’s artwork through Artsonia for your families, such as Masks (new this year), Tshirts, mugs, art snap jewelry, ornaments (these make great holiday gifts), postcards (for holiday thank yous) and many more items. Simply log in , click on your favorite piece of art and follow the links to customize your order. Kirtland Elementary receives 20% of the proceeds from each sale.

Thank you in advance for your support!
