Climax

Definition of Climax:
The most intense, exciting, or important point of something in the story. It's also known as a turning point in the story. It's something major that happens and then changes everything that is to come.

The climax is when Rainsford suddenly appears in General Zaroff's bedroom after Zaroff has assumed that Rainsford has already committed suicide.
