SCIS Principal Newsletter
January 5, 2023
It is hard to believe that we have begun a new year! I am so incredibly proud of how well the students have done at school following a long break. They truly are the best.
We have so many exciting events coming up and I will be documenting all the fun in upcoming newsletters.
5th grade parents, as a gentle reminder, please remember to fill out the "friend request" document in your child's google classroom for camp.
Also, there is a lot of great information in this newsletter. Take note of upcoming dates and as always, reach out if you ever have any questions.

Standard Response Protocol (SRP)
Lovejoy ISD has adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for use during critical and emergency situations, and includes: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.
Lovejoy ISD has also adopted the Standard Reunification Model (SRM) for use during reunification of parents and students following an incident.
District and campus personnel receive training on the SRP at the beginning of each school year. Each campus also conducts specific emergency drills and training each semester, as well as fire drills throughout the year, to reinforce emergency preparedness.
