Student Chromebook Need this Summer?
Year one of Worthington Schools initiative to provide a Chromebook to every student in grades K-12 has been impactful for students and teachers alike. Our students, families, teachers, and staff have done an incredible job adapting to this new program. The increased opportunities for student learning through consistent technology access has been felt in many ways.
As we start to plan for year 2 of this initiative, we wanted to ensure everyone knows what to expect for the summer break. Should your child benefit from accessing a loaner device, please contact Sue Withers (swithers@wscloud.org) in our school front office prior to May 6th and a loaner device will be provided prior to the start of summer break.
Worthington Schools is committed to ensuring all students have equitable access to technology. We are working to ensure this initiative continues and appreciate your support.

Robotics Open-Shop Tour Opportunity
The high school robotics team is hosting three open-shop nights to introduce elementary students to robotics. This is an opportunity for students to get a close-up look at our 2022 robot, Mercury, in action! They will also participate in interactive robotics-themed activities and get to talk to our programmers, fabricators, and engineering designers.
The shop tours are open to 4th and 5th graders. All students attending are required to sign up through the Sign-Up Genius that is linked below (parents do not sign up, but are expected to attend as well). It is also available as a QR code on the PDF flyer attached to this email (for printing). The first 30 students who register will be part of the tour. There are three tours being held in total.
The tours will take place on May 5th, May 10th, and May 12th from 6:00-7:00pm EST at Worthington Kilbourne High School. Students and parents should enter through the main entrance of the school, where they will be greeted by our team members.
