Come and join us as we celebrate this historical Latino event, Day of the Dead!
Day of the Dead- Día De Los Muertos is a special celebrated every year. The holiday focuses on gatherings of families and friends to honor and celebrate deceased loved ones.
Through music, food, fun activities, and information; come celebrate this traditional Mexican holiday! At the event, we will have:
- Mexican bread and hot chocolate, tea, or hot coffee
- face painting
- Stations will consist of learning how to create Mexican traditional arts and crafts such as: papele making (paper making), sugar skills, and face painters.
- We will also be showcasing student art (see below) (Dr. Caplow's BIS351: Mexican Art and Culture)-Available until Tuesday, November 7th)
- There will be a dance performance at 1:30 including our very own Damarys Espinoza, Ph.C., M.A. from the Department of Anthropology!
