Senn-Thomas Middle School

Weekly Update March 27th - March 31st

SENN-THOMAS FAMILIES

Good afternoon! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the long weekend. We can't wait to see our students on Tuesday morning!

  • If you would like for your child to attend tutoring, please complete the tutoring form for the upcoming week (3/28-3/30). This will be a short week of tutoring. As a reminder, tutoring takes place Monday-Thursday until 4:30 pm. Transportation is not provided, so students will need to be picked up at 4:30. It is very important that you complete the tutoring form included on this flyer. This helps us plan for students. You will receive a call at the beginning of the week confirming the day(s) that your child is staying for tutoring. Completing this form each week helps us know which day(s) your child is staying, and it helps us plan for the week. Thank you for helping us!

  • We will be having a Cardinals spirit day on Thursday to celebrate opening day. We invite all students to wear their favorite cardinal gear!

  • Spring Break is right around the corner. We will be off for Spring Break on April 6th - 11th.

  • Do you have a child who will be a 6th grader in the 2023-2024 school year? Be sure to save the date for March 30th for our Incoming 6th grade Family Night. Please see the graphic below for more information.

  • Attendance is very important. Please make all attempts to have students here each day. Statistics show that it doesn't take more than missing two days a month to knock a student off track.

Thank you for your continued support. Please don't hesitate to email or call if you have any questions. Have a wonderful week!

Thank you,

Tracy Lewis

Important Transportation Information

Morning Parent Drop-Off: Please be sure to drop students off in front of the main building. Even if your student has PE first hour, students should not be dropped off at the gym as that is where buses will drop off students. In addition, when you are in the parent drop-off line, we ask that you do not pass other cars or pull into parking spots to back out. We want to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. Once you are in line, you will need to stay in the line. As you drop off your child, please pull up as far as you can to the flagpole if you are the first car in line. However, once you are within sight of the drop-off point in front of the main building, your child is welcome to exit your vehicle. Please be sure to yield for buses dropping off students at the gym. Thank you for your patience!

Afternoon Parent Pick-Up: Please park by the gym in order to allow the buses to leave the lot first. The buses will be lined up in front of the main building. As you exit, please remember that this area is a one-way drive. We appreciate the help!
