Cookie Dough Fundraiser

Your child received their fundraiser information packet at our kick-off celebration Friday. This packet includes many food and several nonfood choices for friends and family to purchase.

Please collect money at the time of sale. All money and orders are due no later than Monday, October 25th. Those customers writing checks should make them payable to JSE PTO. No credit cards will be accepted. Students are encouraged to bring in their money each day as they have made new sales. We will collect money in our conference room each morning before school begins. Students will receive their prizes for each level achieved as they submit their money.

The Mega Party event to celebrate the end of the campaign will occur on Friday, October 29th. The Main Event trip for students who sell 30 items or more will occur on Thursday, November 4th. Please see your student’s paperwork for more details.

Canned Food Drive

Maryville High School Student Council is asking every school in Maryville City Schools to join them in their annual canned food drive to benefit Community Food Connection. Students can bring in items from October 18th through October 22.

The grade level with the most donations at JSE will be announced on 10/25. The winning grade's teachers will be awarded gift cards. Also, the winning grade's teachers and TAs will get to wear jeans for a week!

Spirit Week Coming Soon!

We will be celebrating our JSE spirit the week of October 25 - October 29th!

Each day will be a themed dress up day as follows:

  • Monday, October 25 - Dress for Success Day. Dress for your future career or dream job!
  • Tuesday, October 26 - Hats and Wacky Socks Day
  • Wednesday, October 27 - Peace, Love, and Happiness Day.
  • Thursday, October 28 - Blue and Orange Day
  • Friday, October 29 - Dress Like a Book Character Day **Please have your student come prepared to share something about both the character and the book with their classmates on Friday! **No scary / gory costumes or costume weaponry items.

Picture Proofs

If your student was photographed on the September individual portrait date, you should have received your picture proofs in Friday folders last week.

Orders are due back to the school on Monday, October 25th.

Adventure Club News

Adventure Club will be closed November 24 - 26.

Adventure Club has openings for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students! Contact Adventure Club Director Misty Cable at misty.cable@maryville-schools.org if interested.

First Grade News

First Grade Families, mark your calendars for the upcoming Veteran's Day Program which will occur on November 11th. First grade teachers will be sending home information about this event, so watch for that in Friday folders soon! (Flyer below.)
