A Successful Proctor Beautification Day!

This is a great way to get involved at Proctor that doesn't require a lot of hands-on time. Many of the responsibilities involves paperwork, creating schedules, and organizing. Some tasks are already put in place. For more information, click on the link below!
Our Most Successful Book Fair Yet!
A big shout out to Josie Ramos, and Laura Garcia for organizing and chairing this event, and to all the parent volunteers who helped. And our Librarian, Jennifer Bremer for organizing out student volunteers, running the All for Books donations, as well as the prize wheel for those families who donated books. Without you, successful events like this would not be possible. If you are interested in helping or chairing the next Book Fair in the spring, please contact the PTA.

School Volunteer Policies
Visitors and Volunteers:
Parents are invited to visit and help in classrooms. Arrangements are to be made in advance through the classroom teacher and the office.
- All visitors must report to the main office when arriving on campus.
- Sign in & obtain a visitor badge before going to a classroom. Plan your time so you do not bring preschool children when visiting or volunteering.
- All volunteers are welcome at Proctor
- All volunteers must be cleared through the Sheriff’s Department under Megan’s Law.
Proctor Elementary encourages parents/guardians and other members of our community to share their time, knowledge, and abilities with our teachers and student body.
Proctor volunteers enrich our school’s educational programs, strengthen our home/school connection, and help us build relationships with outside businesses and public agencies. Teachers, staff, students, and families all benefit from volunteers being present in the school.
With that being said, our school and district policies concerning classroom volunteers are created and developed to ensure the safety of all students, and staff, as well as to protect the school and district from various liabilities, and minimize distractions to the instruction of students, and the interruption of the schools instructional program.
Moving forward, we will continue to welcome all families to attend our school wide events, and holiday activities, including classroom parties held on these days. I acknowledge that the volunteers of Proctor Elementary help foster our positive school community, and I look forward in continuing to develop more ways we can strengthen this partnership to better support the learning of our students.
Please feel free to reach out and share your ideas with me or the PTA, on how we can support and create more avenues for community and parent involvement. Thank you for all you do!
