End of the Year Reminders
and Celebrations - Looking forward to 2022!
Thank you so much!
Thank you parents for your generosity and thoughtfulness!
From the Principal
Here we are at the end of another wonderful year and I feel so completely proud of and grateful for all our incredible children, staff and families - we are blessed indeed!
May the holidays ahead be a wonderful opportunity for you and your children to relax and enjoy all the special little things of life - time spent together, laughs shared, moments savoured, dreams imagined and so much more.
Rest and relaxation is such an important ingredient when it comes to the wellbeing factor. If you can, it is worth trying to take a step out of routine and the hurried pace and embrace a little more of the slow, spontaneous and unplanned:) Kids really benefit from it and so will you!
Many, many thanks for all the ways you have each supported your children, the staff and our whole school this year - it is so appreciated. Good schools like ours are nurtured and grown, day by day, through quality relationships, respectful conversations and discerning decision making. We all have much to celebrate!
Class Lists will be sent home next Thursday afternoon. A gentle reminder that parents make the decisive difference in regards to how well the news of a child's new class list is received. Please model a positive, optimistic attitude , trust in the decisions we have made, and keep it all 'bright and breezy' - this helps to reduce worry. Children will be watching your reactions closely, so even if you have a few concerns, please trust that with all our shared efforts, all will be well.
The children had an absolute ball at our Water Fun sessions throughout the week - and it only goes to prove that kids don't need ultra fancy, they still respond so excitedly to well planned activities, in the company of their friends, with staff caring for them and enjoying watching them all have so much fun! Oh - and finished with an icypole! :)
We hope your kids enjoy the ridiculously silly Chrissy clips we have made for them below - may it bring a smile and a giggle!
On behalf of the staff I wish you a happy, holy and joy-filled Christmas and New Year and very much look forward to seeing you again in 2022 for another year of learning and friendship.
School resumes on Monday January 31st 2022 and the whole school Parent Information Evening is to be held on Tuesday 1st February 2022.
Session 1 - 5.00pm - 5.30pm
Session 2 - 5.45pm - 6.15pm in your child's classroom.
We will keep you informed should anything change due to COVID ... however in the meantime, all the very best and God bless!
Merry Christmas from all the Staff!
Water Fun Celebration Moments!
It is always wonderful to celebrate the achievements of former students. Above is a photo of Cara Roberto, former St Emilie's student and daughter of the wonderful Jo Roberto (EA here at St Em's) receiving her Year 12 Graduation Awards. She received awards for Top Student in General Modern History, General Career & Enterprise, General Mathematics Essentials and she received the General Dux Award out of the whole Year 12 graduating class for 2021. An outstanding achievement that she can be so proud of!
WINNERs OF THE ATOM 1 MINUTE FILM COMPETITION
An absolutely awesome effort they can be so very proud of! Competitions are a wonderful way of giving kids a real-life purpose for their learning and are an opportunity to showcase student talents. We think you will agree that this entry certainly does this! Bravo Chow sisters - we are so happy for you!
Among her many talents, Alicia is also a very talented mathematician and writer and is highly commended on the excellent narrative she recently produced in Year 3 this term! Bravo Alicia - your humble, switched on attitude to learning is very impressive indeed!
Thank you Families!
Rachael Davies and Larissa Shaw - P&F
On behalf of the whole school community, we celebrate their incredible efforts, their generosity and fabulous leadership and wish them all the very best. We have been very lucky and very blessed by their tireless efforts for the good of all our kids!
A huge thank you to all the P&F members who, though a small team, made a very BIG impression this year - friendly, cooperative, hard working, generous, calm and community minded.
A special mention to:
Leanne Wallis (Secretary) and Jain Chow who worked so hard throughout the year to support Rachel and Larissa, usually quietly and diligently behind the scenes.
Kirsten Devereux, Belinda Bacchus and Sheree Taylor, who created the wonderful Year Six Yearbook.
All our fabulous Class Reps, who were a positive point of contact for families throughout the year.
