A Message from the Counselor (K-2)
October is a busy month in the counseling world. We participate in 3 weeks of national events which are; fire prevention, a campaign against cyberbullying, and encouragement to live healthy and drug free lives as we celebrate National Red Ribbon Week. In addition, we have our homeroom lessons for the month. Please check each link below to participate in the activities for each special week. We look forward to seeing you soon!!!

A Message from the Counselor (3rd-5th)
Happy Fall!!!
I absolutely love this time of year. Fall/Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. The counseling department has alot of fun and exciting activties planned for K-5 such as Fire Prevention week, Cyberbullying Prevention week, Red Ribbon week, and school counseling lessons. As a reminder, counseling lesson are during homeroom, and located in jigsaw. I hope you all enjoy what we have planned for everyone!

Character Crusaders Word of the Month: Empathy
Being able to know how someone else is feeling, even when you aren't in the same situation.

Character Crusaders Students of the Month
Student: Karlee
Karlee has a kind, gentle heart. She is very helpful during class. She pays attention and is very kind to her classmates and me. She is determined to make friends in her class sessions, so she always starts class with warm greeting in the chat box. She made up a very sweet song for the class about how much she loved school and seeing everyone and shared it for Show and Tell today.

Bethany is an extremely kind young lady. She is always encouraging the students in our homeroom with kind and encouraging words. She displays kindness when she speaks with everyone. She is a joy to have in homeroom each morning!

Student: Gavin
Gavin is always cheering his classmates on when they read out loud in class. He tells them in the chat "Good job" and I think that is super kind! Gavin is a very sweet young man and I'm happy he's in my class!

Arianna shows kindness in class by encouraging other teammates when reading, answering questions and asking questions. She welcomes new students into class as they arrive, and makes sure they feel comfortable working with our team!

Wren is very encouraging to her classmates. When she sees another student struggling to read, she encourages them by typing, "You got this, or You can do it!" She smiles and has a positive attitude. She is an asset to our class.

Aaria is always kind and respectful in class. In our small group, she sweetly helped out students who needed assistance with a new learning platform.

She is so patient and kind and helpful in class. Then at the end of the day she even wants to watch the recordings and study the slides. She is so helpful students in class when I am teaching and she tells students how to find things from their perspective that I can't see.

Alana is very courteous to other students.

She always compliments other students when they answer in class and if a student struggles with an answer she often sends an encouraging message in the chat box. She is a perfect example of how to show kindness in class.

Harrison is always willing to help his classmates and offer assistance during class time. He helps students by given them pointers during class for technology issues and sets a good example of how to participate in daily discussions and chat in a kind manner.

Donovan is great at showing kindness towards others.Donovan has been showing kindness toward new students in the classroom. If anyone has a question he is quick to help them by giving the directions or helping them in the chat with what they need.
