The Power of Play
Tap into your inner child and have some fun!!
By your school Counsellor, Ms. Brennan, RCC, CCC.
Everywhere I look this week, I see TIRED PEOPLE. Of all ages. SO in need of rest, recuperation, and nurturing.
As we begin the holiday period, and begin to SLOW DOWN...one way to nourish our mind, body and spirit, is to PLAY. To laugh, to run, to smile and have fun.....(that rhymed!!) PLAY is so important for child development but also for stress release, connection, and activating our creative mind. Playing helps the adults and older children to go back to the time when they had carefree fun, and we all get to tap back into our happier childhood memories. When we tap back into our lighthearted and play selves, our creativity comes alive!
The best thing about play? It doesn’t need to cost a penny! So let’s grab onto our creativity, open the door to our imagination, and explore the POWER OF PLAY!
