Prosper ISD Students Qualify for Prestigious National Tournament
While many students were enjoying the cooler weather at home, 28 students from Prosper High, Rock Hill, and Walnut Grove traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to compete in the prestigious Isadore Newman National Speech and Debate tournament. This tournament hosted schools from all over the country including New York, Arkansas, Florida, California, Texas, and, of course, Louisiana as well as many others. This tournament provided finalists with a Bid to the the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions (NEITOC) and the DebateTournament of Champions (TOC) tournaments later this year.
Prosper ISD is proud of the courage of all of our students to engage in such a challenging competition and proud of all of our students who came home with medals and qualifications for the National Tournament of Champions tournaments.

Tanish Chauhan - Congressional Debate 4th place - PHS
Jacob Piehl - Congressional Debate 11th place - PHS
Loghan Dureau - Congressional Debate Finalist - PHS
Keira Yang - Original Oratory 6th place - PHS
Kaden Carr - Policy Debate and 2nd best speaker in the tournament - RHHS
Danush Gade - Policy Debate and 3rd best speaker in the tournament - RHHS
