Writing Equations

Algebra I

Instructions:

1- Make some sort of video recording of you writing an equation as assigned by your teacher. You will be working in partners. Both partners must contribute to the equation writing portion and must speak in the video to demonstrate understanding. Some possible tools for creating the video are listed below. At the end, issue a challenge to the viewer to write an equation of the same line through a different point.

2- Post your video on the Padlet for your class. You are responsible for making sure your video is viewable by other students and your teacher.

3- Create a video response to another person's video. In that response you should indicate whether the student did the problem correctly or not, correct their mistake if it was wrong, and respond to their challenge by writing a new equation of the line through the new point they give you. Again, both partners must speak in the video. If they did not issue the challenge, make up a new point and do this part anyway!

Grading

Your project will be graded on the following:

Original video correctly illustrates concept 25 pts

Challenge is issued in the video 10 pts

Video is posted to the Padlet 10 pts

Response video correctly determines whether original poster was correct or incorrect 20 pts

Response video correctly illustrates solution to the challenge 25 pts

Response video is posted on the Padlet 10 pts
