News and Notes

Dear Transfiguration School Families,

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the glorious weather on Saturday. Please remember that Thursday is an 11:45 dismissal and there is no school this Friday. Enjoy your Easter vacation. Classes resume on Monday, April 12th.

Yesterday we began Holy Week. This week your children are learning about the meaning of Holy Week and the Triduum. Please join the Transfiguration parish in Holy Week liturgies. All information for the liturgies can be found on their website: www.transfiguration-tarrytown.org.

If you ordered Easter desserts, they will be going home this Wednesday at dismissal. If you are unable to pickup the dessert at that time, please reach out to the Guild.

Don't forget that Thursday, April 1st, is the last day to request transportation from your school district. If you have not registered for the 2021-2022 school year, please register as soon as possible! April 15th is the deadline to receive the reduced registration fee of $125 per child!

I do want to share with you that I will be having sinus and tonsil surgery at the beginning of Easter break. I plan to be back at school when we return from the break on Monday, April 12th. Please keep me in your prayers next week as I recover.

You received two important letters last week from our school superintendent, Michael Deegan. Please make sure that you have read both letters as they have important updates regarding State testing and other significant updates on the state of the Catholic schools. I have attached them below for your reference.

Thank you and have a wonderful week and a Blessed Easter!

Lenten Service Update

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Lenten Service projects to provide for those less fortunate.

Last week we collected 360 toiletry items and $210 for HOPE Community in New Rochelle. They were beyond grateful to receive our donation, as they work to support the needs of thousands right here in Westchester County.

We'd also like to acknowledge everyone who is volunteering their time at various organizations within the community. Everyone’s hard work benefits us all as it creates the environment and shows us the way to Easter!
