PEC Library Fall Newsletter
November 2020: Important Updates
Dear Parents & Guardians,
We are starting book check out on Thursday, November 5th!
Please read below for important details:
- Only 1 book per student to start.
- Books will be quarantined for 7 days upon return to ensure safe handling.
- Once you are done reading your book at home, feel free to send it back to school. Because of the 6 day schedule and hybrid model, students will have their books checked out a lot longer. Some classes end up being in library only once a month at times.
- I am offering open library times for students to come down to exchange books. However, when and if this happens will be up to the individual classroom teachers as time is precious on the days students are on campus!
Our Library Book Promises:
Book Promise 1
- Clean hands when handling books.
- No water bottles, loose snacks, or leaky lunchboxes with library books in your backpack.
- No eating or drinking while reading your library book.
Book Promise 2
- Keep them safe in your backpack.
- Find a safe place at home to keep your books.
Book Promise 3
- This one speaks for itself!
Book Promise 4
- Students know to use their PINCHERS to turn pages.
- Only turn pages from the bottom or top CORNERS!
- Please model this at home too.
- This prevents all the middle of the page tears.
Book Promise 5
- This one speaks for itself too!
Thank You!
For reinforcing these promises at home!
