A FEW REMINDERS...
-Pack ONE nutritious bite-sized snack (separate from lunch) for your child to eat in the afternoon. Here are some great ideas: small finger foods, 100 calorie packs, sliced fruit/veggies, pretzels or crackers. Snacks must be peanut-free. Please refrain from sending anything sticky/juicy/messy. *No cookies or sweet treat items.*
-Pack a spill-proof water bottle every day. Water bottle refilling stations will be available for your child to refill their water bottles as needed. Please label your child's water bottles with their first and last name.
-Please be sure that your child can easily open the items that you send for lunch so that your child can maximize the amount of time he/she has to eat and minimizes the amount of contact teachers will have with food items.
-Pack an extra mask in a ziplock baggie with your child's name on it and place it in your child's backpack. This will help if the first one becomes soiled or breaks.
-Pack a change of clothes, including underwear, in a ziplock baggie with your child's name on it, and place it in your child’s backpack. This is in case there is an accident and the clothes children are wearing become soiled. Children will no longer be able to borrow clothes from Nurse Katy.
Join O. C. Taylor PTA
Without PTA - without you - we wouldn't be able to provide the rich experiences that our students -your children- love! The support it gives to teachers in classroom materials and supplies helps us provide the stellar educational experience for which O.C. Taylor is known far and wide. In fact, the Learning Toolkits your children are using this year were provided with the generous support of PTA. The programs, events, and classroom parties they plan are highlights of the year for children.
As teachers, we join PTA every year. We encourage you to do the same! Even grandparents, aunts, and uncles can join. We appreciate your support of O.C. Taylor and our wonderful PTA.
