A Peek Into Our Week

Pre-K Polar Express Day {pajama day!}

Pre K will have a Polar Express day on Wednesday, December 16th. Students can wear their PJs to school that day. Please make sure that they are weather-appropriate and that they still bring a coat/sweater/fleece for when we go outside. All students need to wear tennis shoes.

We will read the book, drink hot chocolate, and share our wishes for the first gift of Christmas!

Santa's Workshop

Our little elves will be super busy again this week baking cookies, making cards, making ornaments, and so much more. Ask your elf which part of the workshop they have enjoyed the most!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Pre K students have enjoyed singing classic Christmas & Hanukkah songs like “Jingle Bells”, “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” “I Saw Three Ships,” “Feliz Navidad,” “The Dredyl Song,” “Away in a Manger,” and “Must Be Santa.” They were the cutest carolers I’ve ever seen and were so excited to ride a bus to Scottish Rite for our field trip earlier this month. To finish up the month of December, the children are experiencing movement with music from The Nutcracker Suite - mirroring with “Arabian Dance (Coffee)”, scarves with “Chinese Dance” and parachute with “Russian Dance (Trepak)”. Some of these experiences have been shared on my Twitter page (@jross_gses). I hope you will take some time to sing and make musical memories together this holiday season. Merry Christmas!
