The Kennedy Pride

October News

Note from the Principal

Hi everyone! We are off to a great start this year. We have reviewed all of our Kennedy expectations and are students are helping us create and awesome learning environment. Some of our highlights so far this year are having our 5th Grade students speak at our opening assembly. They helped us understand how appreciating each other and creating a Kennedy family is so important. We have put a lot of emphasis on reading at home this year. Thank you for your support and help. Our school read for 190,000 minutes at home in the month of September. Each month we will try to do a little more. We ask that our students read or be read to for 30 minutes each night. Thanks for attending our Kennedy Open House and The Great Kennedy Read Out in September. It is so great to see all of our Kennedy families coming together.

Kindness in Chalk Event

On October 3rd we took time out of our day to participate in a Kindness in Chalk event. From 1:00 to 1:45 all of our students were spreading kindness by writing positive messages on our school sidewalks for all the people of Kennedy to enjoy.

Thank you for all of your support!

Kennedy Preschool News

We are off to a great start in our Kennedy Pre-K classroom! There has been so much excitement from all the children and families, and we are so happy and proud to be part of the Kennedy Elementary learning community! We have been spending the first few weeks of school learning new routines, making new friends, building our classroom community, and having lots of fun! We will soon begin exploring the changing leaves and colors of Autumn by taking nature walks and sketching our observations of the trees. Later in October we will be learning more about the science of pumpkins by measuring and weighing them, and exploring their insides and how they grow. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year!
