Literature (Wednesday - Friday):
- We will complete our reading William Shakespeare's tragedy, Macbeth this week. In 6th grade, we are reading from the Sparknote No Fear Shakespeare edition. This is a good introductory book since it has Shakespeare's language side-by-side with a facing-page translation into modern English for ease of understanding. However, we are going to be reading strictly from the Shakespeare side, while using the modern English side if and when needed. Students are expected to take notes and be involved in the reading. Questions, quizzes, and writing assignments will accompany our reading of Macbeth.
Vocabulary Workshop (Tuesday):
- Final Mastery Test (p.204-206) Vocabulary Workshop. It's due on Wednesday

6th Grade Computer (Wednesday)
- Using Microsoft Word, create a certificate of recognition for an event of your choice. Possible examples could include best all round athlete, best musician, most improved behavior, top ten percent in the class, etc.

Literature (Wednesday - Friday):
- We will complete our reading William Shakespeare's tragedy, Othello. We are reading from the Folger Library edition. Although we will be reading most of the play in class, students may be assigned some independent reading at home. We will then go over the assigned reading in class. Discussion questions, quizzes, and writing assignments will accompany our reading of one of Shakespeare's most famous plays.

- We will complete our reading of William Shakespeare's tragedy, Hamlet. We are reading from the Folger Library edition. Although we will be reading most of the play in class, students may be assigned some independent reading at home. We will then go over the assigned reading in class. Discussion questions, quizzes, and writing assignments will accompany our reading of one of Shakespeare's longest and greatest plays.

Middle School Electives: Graphic Design (Thursday)
- Students will use PowerPoint and use words to create unique designs.

BOOK ADVENTURE
Students are required to read one book and take a quiz per trimester. Please print out your Report and turn in for a grade. Be sure to write your name on the printout!
