Safety Drill

Lockdown Drill This Week

This week, we will conduct our second lockdown drill of the year. For safety reasons, we cannot provide the specific date and time of the drill.

As you know, safety procedures have been reviewed with students and staff this year. Students are aware that when the lockdown is initiated, they must evaluate the situation and either run away from the building, hide, or survive.

It is important for every member of our school community to know they have the authority to call for a lockdown if they see a serious threat. Anyone with awareness of an imminent threat should also call 911 if possible.

Immediately following the initiation of any drill, our website will reflect a notice that we are practicing a lockdown and that it is only a drill. We realize that even the mention of the phrase “school lockdown” is alarming, but we hope you will find the knowledge that we practice our response to crises to be reassuring.

Please take this opportunity to remind your student to immediately report anything that concerns the safety of our students to an administrator or the school resource officer. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact your student's administrator.

5Essentials Survey Information

Parent Survey - Please share your feedback - Window closes March 31!

If you have not yet done so, please take about 10 minutes to complete the 5Essentials Parent Survey! We value your feedback and use the information in planning for the upcoming school year, especially with regard to engaging our families. Currently, FHS has received feedback from 14% of our families. We are looking for at least 200 more responses so that we can receive a full parent feedback report. Please consider sharing your voice today!
