Week of February 17-19

What A Fun, Short Week!

Wednesday-Welcome back to a wonderful Wednesday! Students participated in Jump Rope for Heart and Digital Learning Day. In PE, the students rotated through eight different stations for Jump Rope for Heart. Everyone had an enjoyable time promoting healthy heart! Our school also participated in Digital Learning Day. In Kindergarten, we went paperless and even tweeted out on the Crozet homepage. Check out all the tweets from Digital Learning Day on the homepage. Also, check out the Crozet Elementary weather station for accurate Crozet weather at the bottom of our homepage.

Thursday-This is Random Acts of Kindness Week. One fun activity our school participated was Mix-It-Up Day at lunch. Students had the opportunity to sit with Kindergarten friends from the other classes. We also visited the fourth grade Weather Museum. The fourth graders created presentations to share with the other grades in the school. We enjoyed learning about tornados, blizzards, sleet, and clouds. Students learned so much and enjoyed all of the experiments.

Friday-This week, we have discussed a lot of ways to show random acts of kindness. In writing, we created postcards to be delivered to soldiers for Random Acts of Kindness week. We are excited to spread random acts of kindness throughout our community. During literacy, we read our non-fiction Let's Find Out about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We have learned facts about these United States presidents. See if your child can read the Let's Find Out to you.
