How do Credit Recovery Teachers receive a course space?
After your course is created and added to your profile, you can add students manually by following these instructions.
How can Brightspace by D2L Empower Students and Teachers?
Course Content:
You may import the Ministry's Master course and edit to meet the need of your students. The course if fully editable and you may add your own enrichment pieces or create your own content from scratch if you wish.
Students can receive instant notifications about course activity, such as grades, new discussion posts, upcoming quizzes, dropboxes, and news items. In addition, students can also receive instant notifications about assignment feedback. For a video demonstration click here.

Teachers and students can specify their preferred email address and mobile number (optional) for instant notifications. Choose an external email (different email address than your system email address) to have your notification sent directly to your personal smart phone or computer.
Release Conditions:
Release conditions allow the teacher to associate a course item in Brightspace with a specific criteria, such as reading a piece of content before they can view the next item or take a quiz.

Student Orientation Course:
This is an excellent module to add to your course because it guides students in the navigation of the virtual learning environment, teaches them how to be a successful online learner, how to manage their time and how to be a good digital citizen. It is recommended that teachers add this module to their courses. If you are interested in learning how to do this, click here to get the content and here to learn how to import it to your course.

If you are accessing from home, go to https://dpcdsb.elearningontario.ca and use your network credentials. (the username and password that you use to access board devices.

Get a network password reset sent directly to your external email address.
In order to use this tool, you are required to register for the system. Please follow through with the on screen prompts in order to complete the registration process. You will require access to either an external email account (non Dufferin-Peel), or external phone (call or text) to complete the registration process.

If a student is unable to access the DP network at school, please have them consult with the school based designate assigned to reset network passwords.
*High school students may wish to sign up for the external password reset using the information provided above.
