Centennial's "Newsday Tuesday"!
Centennial Elementary Families' Weekly Newsletter 4/25/2023
A note from the principal . . .
Hi, Centennial Families!
We hope you are staying warm and dry during this cool snap!
This week finds us celebrating our wonderful secretaries, Staci, Laurie, and Suzi! These ladies do so much to care for all of the children AND adults at Centennial, and we hope you'll join us in making them feel appreciated.
Our 3rd-graders completed their OSTP testing last week and this week finds our 4th and 5th-graders hard at work showing what they know in their tested subjects.
In addition, all grade levels have begun (or will begin soon) end-of-year screening assessments. This is a lot of testing, but the good news is, the information these tests give us helps us to know every child's academic areas of strength and need so that we may adapt our teaching to ensure every student achieves at successful levels!
These next three weeks will be over before we know it, and will be filled with many happy memories and important events (Field Day, end-of-year parties, and "farewell ceremonies." Thank you so much for helping us to make it a wonderful year at Centennial and we look forward to seeing you at end-of-year events!
Finally, thank you to all parents who are assisting in the Cafeteria! To become a "Lunchroom PAL": please Sign Up Here!
We appreciate you!
With kind regards,
Ellie Webb, Principal
