"UB Special" Award
UB Special awards are given to one student each week. Staff recognize a special student who has demonstrated outstanding qualities of leadership, courage, perseverance, ambition, friendship, and/or achievement.
This week's "UB Special" Award goes to MALINA VANG.
Malina is a Junior at Fondy High with an impressive 4.0 GPA. Even more impressive is her rigorous course of study to include Spanish 4, College Prep Chem, AP Language/American Literature, and Pre-Calculus, in which she is maintaining an A+!!!
Malina attends Study Tables TWICE a week with her sister even though she is not required to. She is supportive, a good role mode, friend, and leader.
Malina has attended almost all of the college visits offered this semester already and we are so excited to see where she will be choosing in just about a year! She checks her College Greenlight account often and has been investigating college costs.
Malina has been working hard to prepare for her SAT and ACT and is truly engaged in her education. She always has a smile, is kind and respectful to others and is truly an asset to our program. We are so proud of her accomplishments and happy to have her in our UBMS family!
Study Tables Notes...
There WILL be Study Tables on Tuesday, November 22nd.
Despite some initial discussions, students should plan to attend next Tuesday, the 22nd. If you are not on the regular pick up schedule for Tuesdays, please contact Tracy if you will need a ride from school.
November Reflection Papers
In the spirit of the holidays, we ask that you reflect on the things and people that you are grateful for.
Please also reflect on your leadership skills. What kind of leader are you? What kind of leader do you want to be? What are you doing or going to be doing to be that leader? If you were President of the United States what important things would be in your platform?
2016 Holiday Social
The fun may include a gift exchange, cookie exchange, making gingerbread houses, making ornaments, and eating!
Tracy is working on the details so please save the date and watch for future announcements!
