Test Development and Assessment in Biology with Knox
This year the biology team has put a lot of emphasis on ensuring that our assessments, and therefore our lessons, are aligned with the TEKS. We are striving to improve our assessments by increasing the complexity of the questions in order to better prepare students for the STAAR test and beyond. We are also analyzing student achievement through the use of eduphoria for every exam we give, eliminating the need for CBA’s, and allowing us to get immediate feedback on students’ strengths and weaknesses. This training is for biology teachers and anyone else who would like to come see our process and improve their assessments.
