Mrs. Beaudin's Farewell Message
To our NES families...
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our school this year. We started the school year off looking a little differently than we had hoped but our staff and students faced the changes with a positive attitude and in the end, we were happy to get back to a more "normal" school year. Our students continue to learn new things each year and take on new opportunities. We were able to bring back some of the things from the past like 'reading buddies", Winter Fun Day activities, performing a spring musical, and a few great out of school learning trips. Our students are also looking forward to Summer Fun Day which is taking place on the last day of school. We were even able to enjoy some community walks around the beautiful town of Niverville. We thank you for how you continued to support your child and our school through it all. We wish you and your family a wonderful summer break. To our Grade 4 students that are leaving us
I would like to encourage you for next year as you leave our school and go to middle school. Work hard. Try new things. Take risks.
When you walk through the door of your new school on the first day, make eye contact with someone, smile and say hello.
Walt Disney said "All our dreams can come true...if we have the courage to pursue them."
Decide now that...
- You will have courage
- You will do things that bring you joy
- You will have lots of different kinds of friends
- You will offer empathy when someone needs it
- You will work hard
- You will face new challenges with bravery
Decide these things for yourself and your dreams will come true. Aim for the stars... but remember you might have to build a rocket ship first to get there!!!
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your education journey at NES. Please come back and visit us.
School Supply Update
We will be making changes to our school supply purchasing. The school will be purchasing the school supplies rather than the parents. We have contacted a supplier and by purchasing in bulk quantities we can get much better prices than you are able to by purchasing from a store. The plan for next year will be for families to pay a one time fee of $40.00 per student and the school will purchase all supplies for your child. You will still need to purchase a backpack, lunch kits and a set of runners for your children. The money collected by the school will be for purchases that are 'consumable items' like glue, pencil crayons, markers, etc.
In addition, we will no longer be collecting a $25.00 student activity fee. Instead, we will collect fees for field trips as they occur. Generally, the cost is about $10.00 per learning trip and we try to do two trips per school year.
