Some highlights from this week:
-Our butterflies hatched from their chrysalides! Sadly, we had to let them go fairly quickly so that they could get the food they need
-Buddy walk with fourth graders! Be a buddy, not a bully!
-We had a lockdown drill on Friday, so now we know what our procedures would be if there was ever an intruder in the school.
If you have one you're willing to part with, please send in a family photo that we can put up on our All About Me Wall! If you have a digital copy of one, feel free to email it to me and I can print it out here at school :)
There is still an opening on the signup genius for next week! Please consider coming in and helping out! We'd love to have you! Here is the link:

Dot Day is on Monday! Dot Day is a day that we celebrate making our mark on the world. We will be doing various "dot" activities :) I encourage everyone to wear dots as well!Next Week we will start our guided reading groups hopefully on Thursday, and that will give us some much needed consistency in our days. On Wednesday we will have Buddy PE day with Ms. Hamel's class and we will also write our first books of the year. Having learned about and discussed our family communities this week, we are also ready to start learning about our wonderful community of Crozet!
