Elsik High School student Van Anh Trinh placed in the National BPA Leadership Conference.
Mahanay Elementary School student La'Via Bingham was selected for the Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit Governor's Gallery.
Only 13 art pieces from across the state are selected for this honor. First Lady of Texas Cecilia Abbott selected the winners, and Bingham's art piece will hang in the Governor's Office for a year.
The Taylor High School Boys Track Program medaled and set school records in all of the events they competed in during the 2021 UIL 6A Track & Field State Championships.
The students won third place for each of their respective events:

Alief ISD was recognized by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR).
Alief ISD was award the HLSR Super Show Award. The award is given to school districts for their outstanding participation in the HLSR School Art Program.
Hastings High School student Jackelin Gutierrez's mixed medium art piece, titled "Seen But Not Heard," was selected for the School Art Auction.
In addition, Alief ISD students were selected to display their artwork in the Hayloft Gallery during the rodeo:
- Best of Show - Vicky Vo (Mahanay), Merari Garay (Olle), Abril Carbajal (Taylor) and Dulce Torres (Elsik)
- Gold Medal - Jackelin Gutierrez (Hastings), Avery Tabor (Mahanay), Charintorn (James) Chotchuang (Killough) and Sheila Nguyen (Kerr)

Hastings High School students were recognized as winners of InnerView's 4th Annual National Community Service Awards.
In total, 35 Hastings students were recognized for one of three award types: United Nations Association of the United States of America, Zero Hunger and Zero Waste.
Hastings student volunteers have invested more than 1,190 hours in community needs with the most student effort for Zero Hunger. Out of the 35 students, four students received the Honor Award for more than 40 hours of service.

Elsik High School student Jannat Merchant received an Honorable Mention Award in the Society for the Performing Arts 23rd Annual Student Art Contest.
Youngblood Intermediate School teacher Erin Gilbert was named the recipient of the 2021 Rather Prize.
The Rather Prize is a $10,000 prize to a student, teacher or administrator in Texas who provides the best idea to improve Texas Education. The Rather Prize is a project spearheaded by former CBS Evening News anchor, journalist and Texan Dan Rather and the Rather family.
Gilbert was announced as the winner of the award at SXSW EDU. Gilbert's idea is to maximize the production of garden beds with the help of Youngblood students to benefit the community.
Their plan for the award funds is to improve crop production, amend the soil of a fruit orchard which was planted after winning the Dreyer’s Fruit Bars Communities Take Root Contest and in collaboration with the WOW Project, a local non-profit which serves as a community fridge by providing perishables like dairy products and eggs to families in need, establish a refrigerated container food pantry within the garden site.

MIS Department Applications Programmer Tony Romo's music has been nominated for the 8th Annual One World Music Radio Awards.
‘Timeless’, an album by Romo, has been nominated in the "Best Neo Classical Album" category.
Based in the United Kingdom, the One World Music Radio recognizes the best musical productions from around the world. The awards are categorized in 14 different genres.
