Wednesday, May 11th

  • 6th Period Percussion Ensemble, 4:45-6:30 pm
  • 7th period - drumline sendoff
  • Jazz Band, 4:45-5:45 pm


Friday, May 13th

  • Powder Puff Football Game, 7 pm - Drumline performing at halftime - more info to follow


Saturday, May 14th

  • Hosting Director's Choice Music Festival, volunteer shift 6:30 am - 12:30 pm, sign up in the band hall

Spring Concert

Our Spring Concert is May 10th at 7 pm in the DHS Auditorium. The Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will be doing their final performances of their UIL programs before we switch gears to prepare for graduation. We will be wearing dresses and tuxes for the performance. All parents and students are welcome to attend the Danville MS Wind Ensemble concert at 6 pm in the DHS auditorium.


5:30 pm - Tuxes and dresses available to check out

6 pm - Call Time for Wind Ensemble to change into dresses and tuxes

6:30 - Wind Ensemble on stage to warm up and check levels for recording, Symphonic Band changes into tuxes/dresses

6:50 pm - Call Time for DHS Symphonic Band in auditorium seating

7 pm - Concert Begins

8:20 pm - Approximate end time

School Owned Instruments

All school owned instruments that are checked out need to be brought to campus on Wednesday for inventory.

Band Placement Results for 2022-2023 School Year

We will be posting band placement results for the 2022-2023 school year at 8:30 am on Monday in the band hall. Next year we will have three bands. All three bands will be a part of the Varsity Marching Band and will go to all varsity football games and marching competitions.

Color Guard Recruiting

Color guard students that will be participating in color guard recruiting will meet at Danville Middle School at 9 am on Friday, May 13th. Students must provide their own transportation to and from Danville MS.

UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest Update

The UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest has been moved from UT to Hendrickson HS. We are going to move hotels to stay closer to the contest site. Here are performance times.

Band Registration

Band Registration is Saturday, June 4th and is required for all students participating in band or color guard during the 2022-2023 school year. We will be collecting fees and ordering uniform parts. TPC Family Medicine will be at Band Registration on June 4th to give physicals. Physicals will be $25 through TPC Family Medicine.

Click here for the band calendar for the 2022-2023 school year. We will release dates and times for rehearsals in August ASAP. We are waiting on the final professional development schedule for teachers in August.

Graduation

All band students - Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band - will be performing at Graduation. We will be performing 15-20 minutes of music before graduation begins. We will be wearing tuxes and dresses. Students will be responsible for getting their tux and dress dry cleaned after the graduation performance.
