Message from the Principal

Harris Families:


Quick reminders for activities coming up next week at Harris!


STUDENT ITEMS left in their desks prior to Spring Break:

-Pick up begins Monday, May 18 and will go through Wednesday, May 20

-All student items are bagged and labeled with their names on it

-School Spring Pictures, will also be with those items

-Pick up is in the cafeteria, park and then walk to those doors for entrance

-ONLY 10 people at a time will be admitted to pick up items

-Please practice social distancing guidelines

-Pick up starts at 9am and will end at 1pm DAILY (18th-20th)

-Student items not picked up will be placed in their next year’s classroom (P/S-5)

-Materials for students in the 6th grade not picked up will be stored at Harris until arrangements can be made at a later date


CHROMEBOOK RETURN:

-Return Chromebooks if you will NOT be participating in summer school

-Return Dates May 21-22, 8am-12pm, FRONT OF SCHOOL

-Chromebooks already checked out can be used for Summer School. DO NOT RETURN (more information as to when will come at a later date)

-Students needing a Chromebook for Summer School, communicate with your child’s teacher and we will make arrangements to get them one


YEARBOOKS:

-Have Arrived! (If you pre ordered online, they are ready to pick up)

-Pick yours up starting Monday the 18th (see schedule below)

  • Mon, 5/18 from 9:00-10:00 AM

  • Weds, 5/20 from 9:00-10:00 AM

  • Fri, 5/22 from 9:00-10:00 AM

-LIMITED number available for sale starting Monday the 18th-Friday the 22nd (9-12pm)

-Cost is $25 (checks made out to Harris PTSO or cash only will be accepted) (sorry, NO CHANGE will be given, exact cash amount will be needed)

-Come to the front of the school to purchase from the PTSO


LIBRARY BOOKS:

-Drop off in box inside cafeteria Monday,5/18-Wednesday 5/20, from 9-1

-Drop off in box at front of school Thursday 5/20 and Friday 5/22, from 8-12

Here at Harris Elementary, we are proud to offer FREE breakfast and lunch to all children effected by the school closures.


**Drive thru ONCE per day to receive a breakfast & lunch between 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM


ALL CHILDREN 18 YEARS AND YOUNGER MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE A MEAL.

Parents may call the Helpdesk @ (480) 497-3417 from 6 am - 6 pm if their student has a technical issue with district-issued Chromebook. After hours, parents may leave a message.
